Secondary Victims

What is a secondary victim?

Secondary victims are individuals, other than the direct victim, who experience harm—such as emotional distress, financial loss, or trauma—as a result of a crime or traumatic event.

- Did you suffer emotional or financial loss due to a crime affecting a loved one? 

You may be a secondary victim.
